It has been a month since the last newsletter from June 2017 and marvelous things have been happening since then. On June 28th2017, I commissioned one of my compositions “RAY” for the Mandolin Ensemble “Enigmatica Ensemble” at the AMGuSS: American Mandolin & Guitar Summer School in the Roger Williams University Rode Island. Thanks to my dear friend Fran Rivkin and Marilynn Mair who made this possible and of course of the Enigmatica Members.
On July, I was invited to be part of the Jamaica Plain Porch Festival, where Colombian roots where played at the well known Centre street. Audience where fascinated with the Colombian rhythms; dancing and celebrating. On the other hand, the past August 16th 2017 with a second musical project called “Con Sabor Colombiano”, we were part of the World Music Series from Ryles Jazz Club in Cambridge MA. The concert was a complete Success and hopefully, we are planning of promoting this Folk Colombian Group Around Boston and New York City area. If you want to check more about this band, please visit: “Con Sabor Colombiano” Lastly, the next concert is going to be at the JP Music Fest, where I will be presenting new material as composer and performer. It is going to be a fascinating journey where surprises will be part of. The next meeting will be on: September 9th, 2017 from 12 pm, Pinebank Field at Jamaica Pond.
